Polyurea based grease for use in bearings

Polyurea based grease – Boiler fan and exhaust fan bearings combine two very stressful conditions for the grease to be used in this application: high operating temperatures ( ~ 70°C to 90°C ) and high speeds ( ~ 1750 rpm to 3500 rpm ). Under these working conditions, the grease tends to soften and flow through the gaps in the lip seals or separate the thickener from the lubricating oil, leaving only dry, hardened thickener inside the bearing housing, which does not perform its lubricating function.

Polyurea-based greases, NGLI 2 or NLGI 3, Speed or Rotation Factor ( Dn ) equal to or greater than 400,000 and Kinematic Viscosity of the base oil of 100 -120 cSt at 40 ºC have shown excellent performance in the lubrication of fan and boiler exhaust fan bearings subject to high operating speeds and temperatures. Polyurea-based greases can be used at operating temperatures of up to 170°C, withstand operation in high humidity environments and increase the grease’s service intervals.
