BNDES and Petrobras
BNDES and Petrobras – Petrobras informed that, in February, it expects to price the largest offer of shares in the last decade when the BNDES offers its stake in the Brazilian oil company for sale.
With the offer of 611.8 million common shares, BNDES expects to raise around 19 billion reais, taking into consideration the value of the shares on Tuesday, January 21, 2020.
The last time Petrobras concluded a large share offering was in the capitalization carried out by the company in 2010. Also in December, Reuters, had announced that BNDES was hiring Banks to put its Petrobras shares up for sale .
This operation stems from the program for divesting shareholdings in mature companies with stock exchange shares that the bank has been carrying out since 2019, the bank informed in a press release on Wednesday.
This operation does not involve the preferred shares that the bank has in its portfolio.
The offer will be coordinated by Credit Suisse’s investment banks, Bank of America, Banco Bradesco, Banco do Brasil, Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and XP.
The start of trading of the Brazilian offer shares in B3 is expected for February 7.
