Honda CB 500

Honda started pre-selling the new CB 500F and CB 500X 2020 bikes, shown during the Duas Rodas Salon, which took place in November. The 500 F has a suggested price of R $ 26.9 thousand and the 500X, R $ 28.9 thousand. The actual arrival at resellers occurs in March.

Both bikes received changes in appearance and rear suspension with a new spring-damper assembly. The CB 500X now uses a front wheel of 19 instead of 17 inches and received front and rear suspensions with greater stroke.

Honda has adopted black-out instrument panels for both bikes: the liquid crystal display now has a dark background and light numbers, which makes it easier to read at different times of the day.

The two-cylinder parallel engine is still shared by the two. It received improvements and provides 4% more power and torque at medium and low speeds, but kept the 50.4 hp maximum power at 8,500 rpm and 4.5 kgfm of torque at 6,500 rpm.

The CB 500 line was also equipped with a sliding assisted clutch, which makes the drive and operation smoother. The CB 500 has a three-year warranty and 24-hour assistance during that period. The 500F will be sold in red, silver and orange. The CB 500X will be available in red, black and silver.
