Motorcycle production grows – With 172,000 units produced in April and 673,125 in the year to date, the motorcycle manufacturers based at the Manaus Industrial Estate, in the state of Amazonas, recorded growth of 11.9% compared to the same period in 2024 and the best four-month period in the last 14 years.
Even more positive is the retail balance sheet, which shows record sales for the month of April and also for the first four months of the year, i.e., the best performance in the sector’s history.
The data was released by Abraciclo on Wednesday, April 14, indicating an increase in the volume of plates issued of around 9% year-on-year. In April alone, 182,720 units were sold, an increase of 7.3% compared to April last year and 10% over March.
Marcos Bento, president of Abraciclo, says that the figures reflect the sustainable growth of the sector and the growing demand for two-wheeled vehicles throughout the country.
“The industry continues to be driven by increased demand for individual mobility, with the advance of app-based deliveries and the expansion of consumer credit,” he explains. “In this context, the motorcycle is gaining more and more prominence as an economical and accessible transportation solution for the different regions of Brazil,” he added.
