Meet the Market 2021 – The 11th Meet the Market International Conference – South America, by Lubes em Foco magazine, which will take place online from June 21st to 25th, brings sustainability as the main focus of the Conference, encompassing the areas of market and technology. The event already has its schedule of lectures published on its website and registrations are open and with a limited number.

Meet the Market 2021 – the final agenda

The opening lecture will be given by the Chief Economist of the Federation of Industries of the State of Rio de Janeiro – FIRJAN, Jonathas Goulart, who will address the Brazilian economic panorama and its perspectives, thus maintaining the tradition of the event.

The American Petroleum Institute – API will also be present at the Meeting, presenting themes such as “Assuring Quality in Dynamic Times”, with its EOLCS Program manager, Jeffrey Harmening, and also a focused approach to the Brazilian market with its chief representative for the Latin America, Delma Quintanilha.

International lectures on base oils are scheduled for the second day with speakers Amanda Hay, assistant editing manager at ICIS, and Chris Castanien, technical manager at Neste, when we will have precious information on prices and quality.

The market figures will be presented by the Editor of Lubes em Foco magazine, Pedro Nelson Belmiro, who will also coordinate a roundtable on base oils, with the presence of Petrobras and consultant Claudio Silva from Lubekem.

Sustainability is the central theme

A panel on sustainability is scheduled for the fourth day, bringing industry experts such as the Head of the Global Reporting Initiative – G.R.I., Kline’s director of sustainability, Annie Jarquim, and Lwart Group’s manager of institutional relations and sustainability, Aylla Kipper.

According to Pedro Belmiro, director of Editora Onze, which organizes the event, it is very important for the lubricants market to bring up the topic this year. “In the month when World Environment Day is celebrated, sustainability becomes more and more important in all segments, and the lubricant market needs to stay in tune with this subject”, commented Belmiro.

The fifth day will be dedicated to Technology. After a lecture by Ruth Kuriyama, a specialist in lubricant applications at Angus, represented in Brazil by Univar, we will have a panel with the four major additive companies, Afton Chemical, Chevron Oronite, Infineum and Lubrizol, in which topics on topics will be presented and debated. how additive technology impacts the sustainability of lubricating oils.
