Interlaboratory Comparison Program in Lubricants

Interlaboratory Comparison Program in Lubricants – We announce the holding of the 11th edition of the Interlaboratory Comparison Program in Lubricants, organized by the Center for Research and Technological Analysis (CPT) of the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP). Said program will start in AUGUST, whose activities are listed in the schedule below. In this edition, the analysis item will be a compressor lubricating oil sample.

If this laboratory is interested in participating, we request that you complete the Registration Form using the link below, in which the tests to be carried out by the laboratory must be marked. The registration form, duly completed, must be sent by September 5, 2023, without fail.

Confirmation of participation will be given after the Technical Committee of the program evaluates the registration form and sends the Protocol of Instructions to the laboratory.

Remember that it may be necessary to restrict the number of participating laboratories depending on the maximum capacity of the homogenization tank used. When there is this need, the following internal criteria will be adopted to limit participation: 1st) laboratories that perform the largest number of parameters; 2) order of expression of interest. Laboratories excluded according to these pre-established criteria will be duly communicated.

We hereby inform you that the ANP will bear the costs of preparing the sample, preparing the report, and organizing the meeting to discuss the results. Participating laboratories will be responsible for the costs of taking the samples, carrying out the tests, and sending the results, as well as the expenses of attending the meeting to discuss the results. Laboratories must collect the PIL sample(s) at the CPT laboratory in Brasilia.

After consulting with some companies and our legal department, we received feedback that the attached statement would be sufficient for sample transport, due to the legal nature of the ANP. Thus, in this edition, we will work ONLY with the tax return for transporting the sample instead of the invoice. We ask that you check, as soon as possible, with the responsible sectors of your companies, as well as with the contracted carrier, the existence of any obstacle to the procedure adopted. Thus, we will have enough time to resolve doubts before the deadline for collecting samples runs out.

The attached model will be delivered together with the PIL sample and the MSDS of the oil.
