Oficina de Ideias workshop – ICONIC, manager of the Ipiranga Lubrificantes and Texaco Lubrificantes brands, reached the contribution of almost 40% of its employees in the 1st edition of the workshop “Oficina de Ideias”. The initiative seeks to foster innovation in corporate culture and employee engagement — from C-Levels to the factory floor — to suggest projects in different business dimensions.

The first cycle of the Workshop lasted five months, starting with the first design thinking dynamics, which began in July 2022, with the objective of gathering and raising the main opportunities of the corporate areas until the awarding of prizes to employees, in October this year, to celebrate the ideas that will effectively become projects from 2023 onwards.

“We totaled 275 initiatives sent by our employees. The number surpassed all our expectations”, analyzes Lídia Pinto, Manager of Innovation and Digital Intelligence at ICONIC. The analysis and execution committees of the Oficina de Ideias evaluated and made the final technical decision of the 3 projects that were selected in this first cycle, whose authors participate in the creation of the project and will receive awards that include trips, credit vouchers, innovation certificates, among others. other incentives to further strengthen the project throughout the institutional structure.

The winning projects were:

  • Implementation of QR codes in factories so that all employees can have access to safety rules, work permits and documents necessary to carry out factory activities safely, thus contributing to the sharing of essential information for an accident-free operation;
  • Customer week with the aim of encouraging ICONIC employees to visit customers in order to get to know their business challenges up close, making it possible to deliver innovative and exclusive solutions to the needs of each customer, as well as to increasingly improve the excellence in delivery and business solutions;
  • Intermittent failure monitoring through images: seeking excellence and continuous improvement by recording equipment operation to identify and reduce the causes of failures, as well as develop performance improvements and streamline operational correction.

PROMOTING INNOVATION

The program “Oficina de Ideias” featured lectures by experts in innovation, internal communication initiatives for fostering and engagement, as well as conversation circles at each ICONIC operating unit, located in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, to inform and clarify doubts of the entire public about the program.

“We are working hard so that communication plays a fundamental role in the engagement of employees in this program. Innovation is in the essence of our brand, in our DNA. We want to talk more and more about the topic, especially with the inclusion of employees in the construction of new projects and encourage them to be ambassadors of the culture of innovation”, analyzes Roberta Teixeira, Director of Technology and Sustainability at ICONIC.

SUSTAINABLE FUTURE

ICONIC is in constant transformation, accompanying the world in all its changes and understanding that sustainability is fundamental so that it can leave a quality future as a legacy for the next generations. With this vision, the “Sustainable Future” program was created.

Developed based on consultations with ICONIC’s main stakeholders, the objective was to understand all the socio-environmental challenges that involve people, the company and the planet. The Ideas Workshop is one of the deliverables of the Innovative Solutions pillar, one of the material themes being worked on within ICONIC’s sustainability strategy — the Sustainable Future.
