Partnership between API and IQA
Partnership between API and IQA – The American Petroleum Institute (API) and the Instituto da Qualidade Automotiva (IQA) celebrated an important partnership during Rio Oil Gas, one of the most important events in Latin America. On Tuesday (27), representatives of the institutions were present at the fair to launch a program that aims to offer training on the basics of engine lubrication, encouraging the sharing of information and courses directly linked to the automotive supply chain, such as : lubrication centers, workshops, service stations and others.
The program aims to analyze the impact of the quality of lubricants on engines, bringing more security to the final consumer, as Brazilian companies will have access to products certified by API, a non-profit association based in the USA that supports all segments of the oil and natural gas industry through safety standards and programs.
It also aims to educate point-of-sale and consumers on key lubricant issues, including the importance of high-quality lubricating oils, explanation of API performance specifications, and point-of-sale product quality.
“The partnership with API complements IQA’s performance in Fuels and Lubricants, offering the Brazilian automotive sector references and significant innovations in quality for this segment”, said Alexandre Xavier, IQA superintendent.
Partnership aims to publicize a quality program
Alejandro di Nunzio, director of Business Development at API, stressed that the partnership between the institute and IQA is strategic to promote the quality program in the Brazilian market, which has already been adopted by other countries:
“IQA will help us spread the word about what the program has to offer. We look forward to sharing the content we create together. It is important to fight irregularities in the market and contribute to improving the quality of lubricants,” he added.
