Brazilian lubricant market decrese – The Brazilian lubricants market closed the first half of this year in decrease of 7.0% compared to the same period in 2021, which was a year with a very high volume. Compared to 2019 (pre-pandemic), the market increased by 4.0%. The performance of the market this year followed the fall of the automobile industry in the period.

The base oil market handled a volume of 714,369 m3, with imports totaling 310,769 m3, production at the refineries 266,474 m3 and the re-refining industry placing 148,495 m3 on the market.
