Agrishow 2022 will mobilize agribusiness

Agrishow – International Agricultural Technology Fair will be held from April 25 to 29, 2022 at the Regional Center for Technological Development of Agribusiness in the Center East (Centro de Cana), at kilometer 321 of Rodovia Prefeito Antônio Duarte Nogueira, in Ribeirão Preto, SP . To participate in the fair it is necessary to buy the ticket online or on site at the box office.

The event, which creates around five thousand temporary jobs, will have the official opening ceremony on April 25, at 10 am, with authorities and personalities from the agribusiness chain, at the federal, state and municipal levels. The enterprise will offer more than ten food areas, with restaurants, snack bars and food trucks, and will have medical and outpatient infrastructure, press office, taxi service at the door and internal transport in the fair area.

Faced with a pandemic scenario, Agrishow is committed to strictly complying with the protocols and care promoted by the State of São Paulo and the city of Ribeirão Preto to protect visitors to the fair from Covid-19.

Big business event

Despite the restrictions imposed by the pandemic, Agrishow 2022 can present results similar to those that occurred in the 2019 edition, which received more than 159 thousand visitors from Brazil and abroad. On that occasion, R$ 2.9 billion in business was generated, a volume that can be repeated now. There were no less than 800 national and foreign brands at the event in 2019, including the United States, Argentina, France, Turkey, China and India.

Among the exhibitors are companies and entities related to the automotive sector, such as  Anfavea, Agrale, Ford (Caminho Veículos), DAF, Honda, Jacto, Jaguar Land Rover, John Deere, Komatsu, Mahindra, Massey Ferguson, Mitsubishi Motors, Nissan, Scania, Valtra and Yanmar. “It’s not an auto show. We will show trucks, vans, tractors, agricultural machinery and implements, as well as airplanes for the agricultural sector”, says Francisco Maturro, president of Agrishow and executive secretary of agriculture for the State of São Paulo.

“It will be a unique opportunity to test innovations and field demonstrations and also get to know the latest in technology”, says Maturro, recalling the possibility of expanding business chances, acquiring new technologies and expanding networking.

“We are going to show everything in terms of innovation and modernity for small, medium and large farmers. We will gather a gigantic volume of news. After three years away from the event, which last took place in 2019, farmers are thirsty for information.”

He claims that not only will farmers benefit from the event – ​​exhibitors will also discover what needs to be improved in terms of products and technology.

Agrishow is considered by the organizers to be the biggest technology fair in Brazil and one of the biggest events of its kind in the world. Sectors and visitors

Agrishow is a private event and organized by ABAG – Brazilian Agribusiness Association, Abimaq – Brazilian Machinery and Equipment Industry Association, ANDA – National Association for the Diffusion of Fertilizers, FAESP – Federation of Agriculture and Livestock of the State of São Paulo and SRB – Brazilian Rural Society. The event will have as exhibitors the segments of precision agriculture; family farming; storage (silos and warehouses); correctives, fertilizers and pesticides; safety equipment (PPE); irrigation equipment; tools; financing and financial services; agricultural implements; agricultural machinery; construction machinery; parts, auto parts and tires; livestock equipment and products; software and hardware; seeds, screens, wires and fences; valves, pumps and motors; and transport.

According to the organizers, Agrishow 2022 expects to receive an audience made up of farmers (42%), agronomists and agricultural technicians (18%), consultants (10%), veterinarians (4%), administrators and farm managers (3%). , ranchers (3%) and others (20%).

To participate in the fair, you must purchase a ticket. The event’s website provides the information necessary for the acquisition. The amount varies from R$50 to R$65 and students and seniors pay half. The entry of minors under 14 years old will only be allowed if accompanied by parents or guardians.

Postal code for everyone

Maturro highlighted to Automotive Business the importance of the current state program for mapping rural routes. Three hundred municipalities have already been mapped and by June the government plans to have 645 enterprises “with a number on the gate”. Another important initiative is the field safety program, which has already allocated 240 complete vans exclusively for this purpose.

Record in production

Data revealed by Informa Markets, the organizer of the event, indicate that the 2022 Agrishow will take place after a year with good results in the Brazilian rural sector. The Gross Value of Agricultural Production in 2021 (GVP) reached R$ 1.129 trillion, a record, and 10.2% higher than the GVP of 2020. According to the company, much of this growth was due to higher prices of the main commodities produced on here. Crops grew 12.7% in relation to the previous year, reaching the value of R$ 768.4 billion, which corresponded to 68% of the entire national GVP. Livestock grew a little less, or 4.9% over 2020, equivalent to 32% of the total, in the amount of R$ 360.8 billion.

The data were equally relevant for agro exports, which reached a record US$120.59 billion, or 19.7% more than in 2020. China was the largest destination for exports, with US$41.02 billion of dollars (34% of the total exported), followed by the European Union, with 18.01 billion (14.94% of the total) and the United States, with 9.07 billion or 7.52%.
