Daiane Spadari

Introduction to NLGI

Daiane Spadari mestre em Química pela UFRJ com formação complementar em Gestão de Pessoas e Liderança Executiva. Atualmente é Gerente de Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento na Iconic Lubrificantes, onde é responsável pelo desenvolvimento de produtos e embalagens dos produtos Texaco e Ipiranga no Brasil. Com 15 anos de experiência no setor, Daiane é membro do Comitê Internacional do NLGI, com papel ativo nas discussões globais sobre inovações no setor de lubrificantes.

Daiane Spadari holds a Master's degree in Chemistry from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) with additional training in Human Resources Management and Executive Leadership. She is currently the Research and Development Manager at Iconic Lubricants, where she is responsible for product and packaging development for Texaco and Ipiranga products in Brazil. With 15 years of experience in the industry, Daiane is a member of the NLGI International Committee, playing an active role in global discussions on innovations in the lubricants sector.

Pedro Nelson é o editor da revista Lubes em Foco e Conselheiro da Comissão de Lubrificantes do IBP. Engenheiro Químico, com MBA em Gestão na Indústria do Petróleo e Gás. Já completou 51 anos de experiência na Indústria de Lubrificantes, tendo passado por grandes empresas como ExxonMobil, Chevron Oronite e Afton Chemical, além da experiência como empresário no ramo de manutenção industrial. Co-autor do livro Lubrificantes e Lubrificação Industrial e Consultor Técnico com treinamento e experiência internacional.

Pedro Nelson A. Belmiro is the Editor of Lubes em Foco magazine and Senior Advisor of the Lubricants Committee of the Brazilian Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels Institute (IBP). Chemical Engineer with an MBA in Petroleum Industry Management, he is a technical consultant, celebrating his Golden Jubilee (50 years) in the Lubricants. With international experience of working for major companies as ExxonMobil, Chevron Oronite and Afton Chemical. Co-author of the book ‘Lubrificantes e Lubrificação Industrial’.

Manoel Honorato é o coordenador da subcomissão de graxas do Instituto Brasileiro de Petróleo, Gás e Biocombustíveis – IBP. É consultor no mercado, com mais de 39 anos de experiência, nas áreas técnica, fabril e comercial, tendo também a experiência como empresário do setor de lubrificantes.

Manoel Honorato – He is the coordinator of the grease subcommittee of the Brazilian Institute of Petroleum, Gas, and Biofuels (IBP). He is a market consultant with over 39 years of experience in technical, manufacturing, and sales, and also has experience as an entrepreneur in the lubricants sector.

Felipe Camargo é o Gerente comercial da unidade de negócios de Produtos Oleoquímicos da empresa Aboissa Commodity Brokers. Com formação em Marketing pela Universidade Paulista, tem mais de 26 anos de experiência no mercado de produtos oleoquímicos, tendo participado como palestrante de outros eventos de lubrificantes e de reuniões na Secretaria de Agricultura do Estado de São Paulo para o desenvolvimento da produção de mamona no estado.

Felipe Camargo is the Commercial Manager of the Oleochemical Products business unit at Aboissa Commodity Brokers. With a degree in Marketing from Universidade Paulista, he has over 26 years of experience in the oleochemical products market, having participated as a speaker at other lubricant events and meetings at the São Paulo State Department of Agriculture to develop castor bean production in the state.

Roberto Saruls exerce a 5 anos o cargo de Gerente de Negócios do Segmento Industrial para América Latina na Lubrizol Aditivos. Engenheiro Químico e Mestre em Processos Industriais, atuou por 30 anos em um fabricante global de lubrificantes. Iniciando a carreira no Laboratório de P&D, tendo posteriormente gerenciado as áreas de Marketing & Tecnologia, Engenharia de Aplicação, Serviços Técnicos e Desenvolvimento de Novos Negócios.

Roberto Saruls - For the past 5 years he has held the position of Business Manager for the Industrial Segment for Latin America at Lubrizol Additives. Chemical Engineer and Master in Industrial Processes, has. worked for 30 years in a global lubricant manufacturer, starting his career at the R & D Laboratory, having subsequently managed the areas of Marketing & Technology, Application Engineering, Technical Services and New Business Development.


Dr. Vasu Bala

Dr. Vasu Bala é o Vice Presidente Global de Tecnologia e Inovação da Texile Rubber & Chemical Company, responsável pelo desenvolvimento de produtos especiais para aplicação em Graxas e Óleos Lubrificantes para as Indústrias Têxtil, Adesivos, Cuidados Pessoais, Tratamento de água, Mineração e Latex. Completou seu doutorado e pós-doutorado na Universidade da Pensilvania com pesquisa sobre os fundamentos da reologia de graxas e lubrificantes, síntese de aditivos, mecânica da lubrificação elastrohidrodinâmica e limítrofe, eletroreologia, características de desgaste e comportamento de fricção.

Dr. Vasu Bala is the Global Vice President of Technology and Innovation at Texile Rubber & Chemical Company, responsible for developing specialty products for use in greases and lubricating oils for the textile, adhesive, personal care, water treatment, mining, and latex industries. He completed his doctorate and postdoctoral studies at the University of Pennsylvania, where he researched the fundamentals of grease and lubricant rheology, additive synthesis, elastohydrodynamic and boundary lubrication mechanics, electrorheology, wear characteristics, and friction behavior.


Paulo Berto

Paulo Berto é pesquisador de produto da ICONIC e atua na companhia desde seu início em novembro de 2017, tendo seu histórico profissional iniciado em 2002 na Chevron. É formado em química pela Universidade Mackenzie e mestrando em processos industriais no Instituto de Pesquisas Tecnológicas. Berto é responsável pela pesquisa e desenvolvimento de graxas lubrificantes e fluidos de arrefecimento. Atuou previamente em trabalhos com foco em Gestão da Qualidade e desenvolvimento de processos industriais.

Paulo Berto is a product researcher at ICONIC and has worked for the company since its founding in November 2017, having begun his professional career at Chevron in 2002. He holds a degree in chemistry from Mackenzie University and is currently pursuing a master's degree in industrial processes at the Institute of Technological Research. Berto is responsible for the research and development of lubricating greases and coolants. He previously worked in Quality Management and industrial process development.

Pedro Elias Sachet é Gerente Técnico da ICONIC Lubrificantes onde ocupou posições nas áreas de Comercial, Marketing e Estratégia, além de atuar como agente integrador no Grupo Ultra e liderar a frente de parcerias estratégicas. Engenheiro Industrial Mecânico formado pela Universidade Federal do Paraná, com MBA em Gerenciamento de Projetos pela FGV e pós-graduação em Finanças Corporativas pela Universidade de Ohio. Atualmente cursa MBA em Óleo e Gás também pela FGV.

Paulo Berto is Technical Manager at ICONIC Lubrificantes, where he held positions in Sales, Marketing, and Strategy, in addition to serving as an integrator at Grupo Ultra and leading strategic partnerships. He holds a degree in Industrial Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Paraná, an MBA in Project Management from FGV, and a postgraduate degree in Corporate Finance from Ohio University. He is currently pursuing an MBA in Oil and Gas, also at FGV.
